Today, PX4 supports KoBold Metals with a centralized land management platform designed to streamline global operations while maintaining the flexibility required for jurisdiction-specific workflows and regulatory requirements.
Supporting International Growth with a Centralized Platform
PX4 has worked closely with KoBold Metals to load and manage land data for assets across multiple jurisdictions in Africa, Australia, Europe, and North America, including major exploration regions such as Zambia. Through the platform, KoBold centralizes land tenure and agreement information in a single system while maintaining jurisdiction-specific workflows where needed.
In addition to managing core land and agreement data, PX4 supports integrations that allow KoBold to pull information into custom dashboards and spatial environments, including GeoServer workflows supported through QGIS integration. This provides teams with improved visibility across projects while ensuring data can be accessed and utilized across departments and technical systems.
The collaboration between PX4 and KoBold has been highly iterative, with both teams working closely together to ensure the platform continues to evolve alongside KoBold’s operational growth and strategic objectives.

As of April 2026, KoBold’s PX4 environment supports over 100 projects covering more than 20,000 square kilometers of licensed area across multiple jurisdictions.

• API integrations supporting connected reporting and spatial environments

• Large-scale authority and claim management workflows, including the consolidation of 99 Ontario single-cell claims into four amalgamated blocks within a single workflow

These capabilities have helped streamline land administration processes while improving operational consistency and visibility across projects and regions.
Continuous Platform Enhancements and API Development
As KoBold Metals expanded internationally, PX4 collaborated closely with the team to introduce enhancements that improved project visibility, workflow management, and data consistency across jurisdictions.
Enhancements included:
• Expanded API auditing capabilities to improve transparency and traceability across projects, authorities, actions, and stakeholders
• Project-level metadata enhancements to better support spatial reference systems and GIS workflows
• Early-stage jurisdiction placeholders that allow licenses to be tracked before a full jurisdiction build-out is completed
• Localization improvements for international date formatting to reduce ambiguity across regional workflows
• API integrations supporting custom dashboards, reporting environments, and connected operational systems
• Standardized agency management tools to improve regulatory consistency across jurisdictions
These improvements helped ensure data integrity while allowing KoBold to integrate PX4 into broader operational and technical workflows.
Project Module Enhancements for Global Exploration Programs
PX4 also worked alongside KoBold Metals to improve project console functionality to better support large-scale international exploration programs containing multiple claims and obligations.
Enhancements included:
• Bulk handling and management of project actions
• Direct management of actions at the project level
• GIS display and spatial visualization at the project level
• Pinned Notes functionality to highlight critical project information
• Expenditure and work program information cards for improved project tracking
These updates improved operational efficiency and provided better visibility into large international projects managed across multiple jurisdictions.
Expanding Into New Jurisdictions Together
A key component of the collaboration between PX4 and KoBold Metals has been the ability to rapidly configure and support new jurisdictions as exploration activities expand globally.
Of the jurisdictions currently managed within KoBold’s PX4 environment, eight have been newly mapped and configured specifically for KoBold’s portfolio since the partnership began. Working alongside KoBold’s team, PX4 subject-matter experts helped configure jurisdictional structures, regulatory requirements, and workflows while maintaining consistency across the broader land management system.
Several additional jurisdictional workflows, are currently in active development as KoBold continues to expand its international exploration footprint.
